Exercise 1: Parts of MS Word

 Parts of Microsoft


Blank Document - it is where we create, and write new document.


Layout Panel - describes how each of the document appears when it is printed.

Menu Bar - contains the basic commands and buttons, but as you use the word more often, commands and buttons becomes personalized.

 Minimize, Restore and Close:
  • Minimize button - use to minimize the MS Word tab and the bottom of the screen.
  •  Restore button - use to restore the original size of MS Word tab.
  • and Close button - use to exit the MS Word tab.

MS Account - contains the name of the account user.

Navigation Panel - use to switch between different areas of outlook window such as notes, calendar, mail, contact and tasks.

Notification Panel - it is where the notifications appear.

Quick Access - customizable toolbar that contains set of commands.

Ribbon Display Options - used to help you quickly find the commands that you need to complete a task.

Ruler:
  • Horizontal Ruler - it is use to adjust indent paragraphs, margins; adjust column widths and set tabs.
  • Vertical Ruler - it is used to adjust top and bottom of the margin of the document.

Task Bar - this is where find pinned tasks or for shortcuts.

Title Bar - contains the name of the file and the application you are using.

Zoom Panel - this panel is where we zoom in or zoom out the document to as what we desire.
